President

President – Grapevine Chamber of Commerce

RaDonna Hessel currently serves as President of the Grapevine
Chamber of Commerce, a position held since June of 2008.  She
has served in five different communities around the state of
Texas since 1990.  RaDonna has completed the Institute for
Organizational Management at SMU and the Oklahoma
University, graduating in 1997.  RaDonna is currently
attending Northwood University to expand her education.

Professionally RaDonna is currently serving on the Executive
Board of the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executive’s Association (TCCE), and will be the 2018 Chairman of TCCE, which is the oldest State Chamber organization in the United States.  She also is serving on the Board of the North Texas Chamber of Commerce Executive’s Association (NTCCEA), of which she was the 2008 President.  She has also served on the Board for the Texas Association of Businesses in 2007 and 2008. She has served an advisory position for the Northwood University ESPM program.  RaDonna has also served as a planning facilitator for numerous chambers and other non-profit organizations and assisted various Chambers in their search for a President. 

While working on the numerous committees and events at the chambers of commerce, RaDonna also finds time to serve on boards and commissions within her community.  RaDonna will be the President of the Grapevine Rotary Club in 2011 – 2012.  She served on the LEAD 2021 task force for the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD and on the International Marketing Task Force for the DFW Airport.  She had also served three years as Chairman of the City of Grand Prairie Library Board and President for six years of Brighter Tomorrows Shelter for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. She was the 2005-2006 Centennial President of the Grand Prairie Rotary Club and was a leader in the construction of the Grand Prairie Veterans’ Memorial.   She served on the board of the Sister Cities Organization in Grand Prairie and was appointed by the Attorney General to serve on the Weed & Seed Committee for the City of Grand Prairie.

RaDonna was presented with the President’s Award from the Soroptimist Club.  She also was honored as the Grand Prairie Citizen of the Year in 2002, and received the International Athena Award (Woman of the Year) in 2003.  She received the Doris Black Award from the Brighter Tomorrows organization in 2005 as well as the Chairman’s Award for the Chamber of Commerce.

RaDonna Hessel is married to Marvin Hessel who is in commercial sales for Linc Service and was her junior high sweetheart.  They have two daughters, Victoria Welsh, IR Coordinator for Bell Helicopter Textron who is married to Sean Welsh, employed by CitiMortgage.  Samantha Eshleman, a stylist at The Hair Center is married to Zach Eshleman, a police officer with the City of Benbrook.  RaDonna is also a proud grandmother of Brooklyn, born in 2008, Braden in 2009 and Ryan in 2011.  She is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Grand Prairie.  She enjoys playing “at” golf every weekend, bowling in a league every Wednesday night, reading and spending time with friends and family, along with an occasional trip to Shreveport or Vegas.
